Express Crowning is a new system to help fabricators control deflection or the “canoe effect” in press brake applications more than 1.2 m (4 ft) long. Wilson Tool says the system gives fabricators the flexibility to fine tune the deflection compensating curve of the unit to overcome the nuances built into the machine. Press brake operators can now crown the lower beam with manual or electric options and secure dies with manual or hydraulic power. Mounting is available for all types of press brakes and die clamping is compatible with WT and American Style tooling. It offers precise adjustments and quick, repeatable crowning.
