Due to its superior benefits, the fixed parallel key is Wilson Tool's exclusive keying option.

This effective key carries a number of advantages:

• Its rounded ends eliminate the broaching effect of other styles like the woodruff key
• It provides the greatest contact length
• It is held in place with a machine screw, which keeps the key from falling out during setup and tear down  

Additional Options

A second key added to the opposite side of the punch can be an effective way to mitigate rapid tool wear. This addition can be made for a nominal charge.

Some machines or conditions require keying of the lower punch. We are happy to accommodate this need. Please mention this requirement to your tooling professional.
