Ball riding and brush dies reduce sheet and tool damage in forming applications. It is best to put two ball riding dies in stations surrounding the forming tool. The ball on top of the die has a spring beneath it that allows the ball to move up and down while forming, helping to reduce sheet marking and distortion. The ball riding die helps bring the sheet up closer to the height of the forming die allowing the sheet to move more freely through the punch press. Placing these dies into the vacant stations in the turret can also eliminate material crashes.
Available for A through E stations.
