Hemming Die

Hemming dies are used to flatten or hem a part after a 30-degree bend has been made. All of Wilson Tool’s ground tooling product lines offer solutions that produce a 30-degree bend and hem all in one handling. If necessary, a special tool set can create a gapped hem, in which the hem is not fully flattened against the sheet, but leaves space between them.

Our LVD-style dies are Nitrex® treated for optimal life and durability, with heights appropriate for LVD’s Easy-Form® system. Our LVD-style dies also include the Stone® radius die design for increased bend angle accuracy and reduced friction between tooling and material.
